Our adventure begins with a scenic drive of approximately two and a half hours from Medellín. As we travel through the Colombian Andes, you'll enjoy ever-changing landscapes of rolling mountains, coffee plantations, rivers and picturesque rural villages, offering a beautiful introduction to the country's extraordinary natural beauty long before reaching our destination. Upon arrival, a local family of cacao producers will warmly welcome us to their traditional farm, where you'll discover the complete journey of Colombian cacao, from planting the first seed to crafting delicious artisanal chocolate. Walking through the cacao plantation, you'll learn how the trees are cultivated, how the finest cacao pods are selected, and how the beans are carefully fermented, dried and transformed using traditional techniques passed down through generations. More than simply observing, you'll have the opportunity to participate in different stages of the process while discovering the passion, knowledge and dedication behind every piece of handcrafted Colombian chocolate. Our experience continues with a visit to crystal-clear waterfalls hidden within the surrounding forest, where you'll have time to relax, swim in the refreshing waters and enjoy a unique chocolate therapy ritual inspired by the natural properties of cacao.
